We came across Emir’s work in the depths of Flickr. His dreamy underwater images hold a tranquil disposition that seems to transport the viewer to another world. Emir's underwater images are a small project amidst a larger series of work.

What's your background in photography? Did you study or are you self-taught?
I started on my own,then i decided to major in photography.Now i am studying photography and video at Istanbul Bilgi University.

Who or what are your influences photographically?
Trent Parke and Ryan Mcginley.

What concept were you trying to explore through these images?
No matter how spontaneous we are in the infinite feeling of the frame underwater,we are still magical.

What kit did you use in order to shoot underwater?
I used my old analogue canon prima as-1 with a underwater case.

Has your work been featured in any notable exhibitions or publications?
One of my photographs has been translated into a poster for a Canadian play,i also shoot the album photos for a Turkish band named "Portecho".Another of my photographs has been used as a cover of a novel called "A woman of Seville".

Do you have any aspirations for the future?
I want to print my own books.
